Molly Q. Daniel, Psy.D

Molly Q. Daniel, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and Health Services Provider in the State of Iowa. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 2006, with concentrations in Clinical Child Psychology and Forensics. Dr. Daniel specializes in providing assessment, consultation, and therapy to children, adolescents and their families. Prior to opening Northstar Psychological Services, she was an associate in a group private practice in West Des Moines for 10 years. She has also practiced in the community mental health, day treatment, and pediatric inpatient hospitalization settings, providing assessment and therapy. Dr. Daniel utilizes primarily cognitive behavioral and developmental approaches to evaluate and address a wide variety of social, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral concerns in young people. She believes that providing sound and comprehensive assessment, identifying strengths as much as areas for improvement, is a key factor in offering the best targeted recommendations and interventions for treatment. Dr. Daniel is a member of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Daniel grew up in Clive and attended Valley High School. She attended undergraduate at the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University in St. Joseph, MN, playing on the soccer team during her time there. As a part of her graduate training, she completed her APA-accredited internship at Family Service and Guidance Center in Topeka, KS and taught Developmental Psychology at Washburn University. Dr. Daniel resides in the Des Moines area with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, being active within her church, playing tennis and pickleball, following college athletics, and amassing ridiculous trivia knowledge for a secret dream to be on Jeopardy.
